The Misfortunes of Party Members are Sweet (仲間の不幸は蜜の味, Nakama no Fukō wa Mitsu no Aji) is the seventeenth chapter of the KonoSuba Comic Anthology manga series, and was illustrated by Hard-Boiled Yoshiko.
Drinking Outdoors Aqua's legs can be seen protruding from the mouth of a Giant Toad as it shakes its head trying to swallow her, while Kazuma nonchalantly looks on from a short distance as he enjoys a cup of wine outdoors, which turns out to be quite tasty.
Yesterday As Darkness and Megumin watch in bewilderment at him sitting on the grass without any intent to save Aqua, Kazuma recollects how at the Guild the previous day, Aqua had teased him for not understanding the tastiness of wine. She then offered to teach him what wine really is about if he gave her the plate of food he was eating, so Kazuma promptly shoved the whole plateful into her mouth, leaving her tearfully unable to chew.
That Happened With wine supposedly becoming something that Kazuma didn't understand, Megumin asked to have a sip of it, only to have Kazuma stop her because she is a loli girl. As the piqued Megumin stood up to protest, Kazuma Stole her panties and tossed them away. This quickly silenced the embarrassed Megumin, who instead of talking about wine begged for him to bring her panties back.
And This Happened Darkness then inquired if Kazuma did that due to accumulated stress, before offering to let him take it out on her, yet recoiled in embarrassment at the glare which Kazuma sent her way.
Thus Now This Kazuma contemplated about his party seemingly making the wine and food taste terrible, especially the useless goddess who was busy sprouting a long lecture over wine. He then wondered if letting her suffer a terrible ordeal would make food taste better, thus he uses Aqua's sacrifice as a snack for drinking wine, which does indeed make him appear happy, to Darkness' puzzlement.
Even More Tasty... When Megumin tells Kazuma about Aqua getting into a perilous state, he dismissively suggests for the goddess to be blown up by Explosion Magic, much to Megumin's shock. She proceeds to ask Darkness for advice, and upon Darkness suggesting that they rescue Aqua so she can take her place instead, further wonders what should be done.
Result Darkness promptly surprises the others by charging out to Aqua's rescue, ignoring Kazuma's enigmatic calls about this making the wine taste bad. Kazuma is therefore forced to follow Darkness while instructing Megumin to take care of the rest, before coming to the conclusion that wine should be drank sparingly.
