The Fake Doll (フェイクドール), otherwise known as The One who Judges the Tribulations (試(し)練(れん)を裁(さば)きし者(もの)), is the judge of tribulations on the Island in the Sky.

Appearance

The Fake Doll is designed to look like a clown, with white body colour coupled with red stripes on the face, dressed in a pierott's suit along with an overcoat and checkered hat.

History

Installed in the Ruins of Tribulations as the judge for assessing the registered challenger's worthiness, it had after Kazuma accidentally registered as tribulation challenger drawn on his memories to generate doll copies of him and his 9 other companions he recently adventured with.

Later Kazuma, accompanied by a combination of his other companions, passed the tribulations in the other 9 rooms, so the Fake Doll greeted him in the final room that he had to enter alone. It proceeded to scare Kazuma with a fib of how it was a once a failed challenger who needs to defeat the next challenger in order to switch bodies with him, then upon Kazuma defeating it told him the truth as well as hand him his prize.

Abilities

• Accumulate (ためる): Accumulates its power to increase attack damage.
• Skill Bind (スキル・バインド): Prevents an enemy from using skills.
• Spark (スパーク): Casts a bolt of electricity.
• Premonition of Death (死の宣告): Curses an enemy to die after a certain period of time.
• Sleep (スリーブ): Puts an enemy to sleep.

Dolls

Before Kazuma could enter the room for fighting the Fake Doll, he needed to enter 9 other rooms, each requiring him to be accompanied by exactly 1 different companion, in order to defeat the various combinations of doll copies made in their images.

• The One who Challenges the Tribulations (試練に挑む者): A doll copy of Kazuma that can use Double Attack, Skill Bind, Flash, and Paralyze.
• The One who Protects the Water (水を守護せし者): A doll copy of Aqua that can cast Recovery, Turn Undead, Exorcism, and Stream of Water.
• The Red One who Wields Explosive Flames (爆焔を操る紅き者): A doll copy of Megumin that can cast Blast, Spark, and Diffusion Freeze.
• The One who Endures Suffering (苦難に耐えし者): A doll copy of Darkness that can Cover its companions.
• The One who Conceals the Power of Death (死の力を秘めし者): A doll copy of Wiz that can cast Bottomless Swamp, Freeze Gust, and Blast.
• The One who Swiftly Thieves (速き盗賊の者): A doll copy of Chris that can use Double Strike, Triple Strike, and Skill Bind.
• The One who was Chosen by the Cursed Sword (魔剣に選ばれし者): A doll copy of Mitsurugi that can use Power Slash.
• The Red One who Wields the Sword of Light (光剣を操る紅き者): A doll copy of Yunyun that can cast Fireball, Lightning Strike, and Energy Ignition.
• The One who Sees Through the Past and Future (過去と未来を見通す者): A doll copy of Vanir that can cast Vanir Doll, Cursed Darkness, and Diffusion Sleep.

• It is possible the Fake Doll and the Doll Master may have come from similar roots, judging from the similarity in appearance of them as well as the dolls they create.
