Great Spirits of Storms (
Appearance[]
Great Spirits of the Storm do not have a real body, but when they manifest will assume the form of a beautiful girl with wavy blue hair and resembling a wine-serving girl.
In the anime, the Great Spirits of the Storm during their normal state manifest as a beautiful serene woman sporting wavy green hair that curls around their bodies. Once in berserk form, however, their hair turns black and messy while black tear marks appear under their reddened eyes, and in addition their lower bodies transform into the shape of a twister.[2]
Overview[]
Initially formless, as people began associating them with the Undines (Water Spirits), Great Spirits of Storms started to assume the form of a woman. They cause typhoons when they absorb too much magical power over the sea and go berserk, which not only causes widespread destruction but also agitates monsters.
Because of their high resistance, powerful Wizards are usually hired to chase them off. However, they are sometimes used as excuses to get female adventurers into swimsuits, as their attacks are wind/water based, wearing armour would just make it easier to drown.
The summer storms are a result of their fights againts the Great Spirit of Summer.[3]
Abilities[]
- Resistance: As greater spirits, they're immune to physical attacks and resistant against magical attacks.
- Gale: It can blast a powerful wind blast, more powerful than the Great Spirits of Autumn and Spring's, that will throw the target away or blowing off their clothes.
Trivia[]
- Great Spirits of the Storm can only communicate in the spirit language, though they are able to comprehend the common language spoken by humans when Aqua speaks it.
