Griffins (グリフォン) are magic beasts with the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion.
Appearance[]
Griffins are approximately the size of a horse, with the head and forelegs like an eagle as well as eagle wings growing from its back, and the rest of the body being that of a lion. The exact colouration of the body varies with the media.
Overview[]
Griffins are fierce territorial creatures, known to get into conflict with Manticores over turf disputes.[1]
Abilities[]
- Flight: Griffins can fly using the wings on their backs.
Trivia[]
- Griffins appear in Natsume Akatsuki's works Combatants Will Be Dispatched! and Kemono Michi, and in both works, their meat has an awful taste.
