King Toads (ジャイアントキングトード) are humongous Giant Toads.

King Toads are humongous Giant Toads that can grow to proportions much larger than the regular ones, to the size of as a mansion or even of a small mountain like the one in the crossover.[1]
Overview[]
As Giant Toads that rule over their lesser kin, King Toads tend to attract other Giant Toads into gathering around where they inhabit, as was the case in the Underground Sewers, when Kazuma and his party discovered one of them while descending there to seek the cursed relic's replacement parts.[2]
According to Professor Burton, killing a King Toads will stop the rainy season, but it seems to not be true. The existence of such monster was just a rumor until Megumin, Yunyun and Iris defeated one,[3] and for such reason, there was no bounty for the King Toad subjugation.[4]
Variations[]
- Giant King Toad R (ジャイアントキングトードＲ): The active and salivating Giant King Toad that Kazuma's party had to fight if they didn't use the Frogicide in the Underground Sewers.[2]
- Greatful Giant Toad (グレートフルジャイアントトード): A breed of gigantic Giant Toad, with the size of a small mountain, commonly abbreviated as "G.G. Toad", that appears once every decade and dwarf regular Giant Toads, with individuals that appear once every century sized much more gigantic.[1]

- Squishing (押し潰し): Giant Toads with big enough bodies can leap at their enemies before squishing down on them.[2]
- Slimy Saliva (粘液性唾液): Giant Toads possessing enough saliva can splash their slimy saliva at their enemies to encumber them.[2]
- Bottomless Swamp: Giant Toads with enough magical powers can encumber enemies with swamp magic.
- Regeneration: Giant Toads with enough magical powers can regenerate lost body parts.
