Synopsis |
Prologue[]
Not long after returning from investigating the ancient ruins that turned out to be the research facility built by the NEET researcher from Japan, Kazuma spends his days lazing around. One day after Kazuma overturns the chess match Megumin had been arguing with Darkness over and nearly provokes her into blowing the mansion up, Aqua returns from her walk with a beautiful glass-like shard that she wants to make accessories out of.
With Megumin detecting magic being emitted from it, the party against Aqua's objections take the shard to Wiz's Shop for assessment. Upon inspection, Vanir tells them the shard is part of a larger magical stone he will offer 10 million eris to buy. As Kazuma and party rush out to hunt for the magical stone, Vanir sneers at the futile effort they will be putting up.
City of Axel[]
Here Kazuma finishes his preparations before heading into the dungeons. At the Adventurer Guild, he can sign up for and report results of side quests, or simply chat with Luna and Dust's party while the Ruffian comments. He can also go to Wiz's Shop for buying and selling items and equipment or inquiring with Wiz and Vanir about shop status. In addition, it is in the city where he configures the members he takes into his party, automatically heals all damage they suffered in the dungeons, or in the case of total party wipe the place Eris will bring them back to.
Neighbourhood Ruins[]
Outside the overgrown ruins of an ancient settlement neighbouring Axel, Aqua indicates the bush where she discovered the shard, behind which the party spies a familiar robed figure hiding. Yunyun then pops out to challenge a reluctant Megumin, only to be craftily defeated in a fast-speaking contest, and as she runs back to town in tears, the party discusses inviting her to join the party as part of the recent guild campaign. Potentially returning to Axel for member configuration, the party later proceeds into the ruins proper.
- Enemies
When they push into the deepest part of the ruins, a Muncher-Muncher sprouts out before them. Managing to defeat the carnivorous rose, the party searches the vicinity for the magical stone, which Aqua detects and Kazuma along with Darkness digs up from the ground. As Megumin theorises that it emitted the magic that made the Muncher-Muncher grow to gigantic proportions, Kazuma takes Aqua's shard and fits it into a depression on the magical stone. When a disgruntled Aqua grabs at the magical stone, it suddenly releases more magic as well as shine the kanji for "five" on its surface, which disappears once Aqua gouges the shard back out.

Taking the magical stone back to Wiz's Shop, the party hears Vanir extol the magic contained within it, although he won't offer full price for an incomplete stone missing the shard Aqua refuses to part with. They then talk about the possibilities of the magic powerful enough to level a city, which gets Megumin intent on keeping the magical stone around. Unable to reach a consensus, at Darkness' suggestion the four of them head for the Guild to discuss the issue at length, potentially leaving Yunyun behind.
The party is joined at the Guild by Chris who had returned from the Royal Capital, and upon seeing the magical stone, she identifies it as a Devil-Sealing Magical Stone that is used to seal enormous amounts of magical power. With Megumin who got excited over its power arguing with Aqua who wanted to sell it sans the shard, Chris suggests they find another magical stone, of which records indicate there are multiple, causing everyone to toast in elation. Returning to the mansion, Kazuma, Aqua, and Megumin dream about what to do after making a fortune and how to share the magical stones among them.
Khiel's Dungeon[]
The next day, Kazuma takes his party to the Guild so they can ask around for clues, then initially ignores Luna who requests for help against a recent wave of undead spawning in Khiel's Dungeon, because of the embarrassment he suffered not long ago when he found out his "fan" was actually a collaborator with the Guild. At first the party refuses her citing they are busy, but then Wiz brings them a magic radar commissioned by Vanir that can detect the locations of the magical stones once inserted with Aqua's shard, which shows one of them being situated in Khiel's Dungeon.
Accepting Luna's quest while they're at it, the party arrives Khiel's Dungeon, with Aqua all pumping to go. But then Kazuma teases Megumin who wants to remain outside because she cannot use Explosion inside, resulting in her losing it and blowing up the dungeon entrance. While Kazuma blows up at her, the party is shocked to see the dungeon regenerating itself back to before due to the magic leaking out from the magical stone, so they go ahead into the dungeon with Megumin in tow now that she can use Explosion inside, though Aqua falls into a pit trap soon after entering and needs rescuing.
- Enemies
With Megumin potentially yelled at for casting Explosion in an enclosed space, when approaching the set of staircases leading down that is hidden behind a trap wall, the party runs into Mitsurugi and his party. The Swordmaster reveals he had overheard their conversation about the magical stones at the Guild and wanted to look for them, even offering to join Kazuma's party for the sake of Aqua.
The party later pushes inside a hidden passageway beyond Khiel's chamber, where they fight through waves of unnaturally numerous undead summoned by the magical stone, followed by their boss the Devil Giger appearing. Despite the party defeating it, the four-armed skeleton resurrects because of the magic saturating the dungeon, only to be punched out of existence by Aqua's God Blow. Skirting around praising the smug goddess, Kazuma leads his party to the magical stone, and when Aqua punches it for raising all the undead, the kanji for "three" lights up, so once Aqua purifies all the undead from the dungeon they return to town.

Toasting back at the Guild while tired out, the party hears from Chris that according to records from the Royal Capital and other sources, it was said there exists seven of these magical stones buried in various dungeons. After Chris offers to join them, they consult the magic radar that displays the magical stones one after the other, and finds the next one is located at the faraway Temple of Everlasting Summer.
Temple of Everlasting Summer[]
Kazuma wakes up the next morning to see Megumin itching to go while Darkness tells him Aqua had gone shopping, so he brings the pair to Wiz's Shop for desert gear, where he finds useful items courtesy of Vanir and useless junk courtesy of Wiz. Vanir then uses the fact Kazuma had used the Succubus Cafe's services the previous night as leverage for permission to let him and Wiz join the party, since he wants to check out more dungeons for his dream as well as not let this chance slip away. The party subsequently sets out when Aqua who had finished shopping shows up.
Teleporting to the deserts outside the temple, the party is shocked at how hot it is before staggering inside.
- Enemies
Following many twists and turns, and potentially defeating an Expedition Goblin holding the First Residential Key on the way, the heat-stressed party reaches the destination chamber where a fiery Bildnibis awaits. Back at the Guild, the party discusses about the remaining magical stones, while the magic radar shows the next one is located in the ruins built by the Japanese scientist that they had investigated earlier.
Underground Research Facility Ruins[]
The party runs into Ran at the ruins above ground, and despite Kazuma blowing up at her for making a fool of him last time, they give permission for her to join them. Hearing excessive activity in the underground ruins that became bustling with monsters, the party proceeds into the newly discovered research facility beneath where they previously left off.
- Enemies
Heading downwards and potentially getting surprised by seeing smaller versions of the Destroyer or running into the Majin Golem, as well as possibly finding the Second Residential Key from an Expedition Goblin, the party reaches the lowest level guarded by the Gun Falcon DX that Megumin is reluctant to destroy. They proceed to attack it anyways, though upon damaging it enough, the golem splits open to reveal the even better-looking Gun Falcon BX stepping out. Forced to battle without rest, the party manages to destroy it, with Megumin either getting so dejected that Aqua promises to make model robots out of milk cartons for her or she gets into a debate about artistic sense with Yunyun.
Continuing beyond, they reach the innermost chamber which was smashed by golems that got sent on the rampage by the magical stone, so Kazuma's party start sifting through the debris while any remaining members return to Axel to report. Darkness manages to find the magical stone that appears inert, though as soon as Aqua touches it the kanji for "six" manifests.

Returning to the Guild to report and then heading to Wiz's Shop, Aqua nearly shakes Wiz out of existence before complaining to Vanir about how inefficient the magic radar is, even though it indeed shows the next magical stone is located in the Snowfield Forest where the encounter with the Winter Shogun occurred. Vanir goes on to explain that the magical stones are set to activate after the previous stone gets triggered and starts glowing, so the party makes preparations for heading into the Snowfield Forest.
That night at the mansion, Kazuma and his party cook a hot pot around the kotatsu with crab sent from Darkness' home, and this time he enjoys the bubbly while keeping Chomusuke and Megumin from it through entertainment and food.
Snowfield Forest[]
Freezing in the snowy forest, Aqua pesters Kazuma for a way to heat up, and upon Megumin revealing how she stuffed Chomusuke in her clothes to keep warm, the goddess and the cat begin fighting. The party afterwards manage to make their way to the icy dungeon where the magical stone was hidden, and find to their dismay that in addition to monsters, falling pits and spike traps are also abundant.
- Enemies
The party painstakingly makes their way through the dungeon, all the while braving the danger of attracting the Winter Shogun by defeating too many Snow Sprites, and potentially discovering the Treasury Key on an Expendition Goblin, until they reach a clearing where a Dera Mammo appears as soon as Darkness utters a flag line. Kazuma has no choice but to fight when a fantasizing Darkness charges, and eventually succeeds in downing the mammoth, though Aqua hollers about her hagoromo getting stained for a millimetre.
Unable to find the magical stone with all the ice and snow around, Kazuma drains mana from Darkness and lets Megumin blow out a gaping hole, before Aqua reminds him that this may destroy the stone. It all turns out well when a hot spring gushes out, so with the use of Teleport, all their friends in Axel are invited to take a dip, while the magical stone with the kanji for "one" is found closeby.

Returning to the mansion, Aqua finds that the next magical stone is at a location near Axel that Darkness remembers is a dungeon in lockdown since the prior month.
Mystery Tower[]
The next day, Kazuma takes his party to the Guild in order to inquire about that dungeon, and Dust in exchange for coupons to the Succubus Cafe tells him a strikingly familiar rumour about the magical stones being able to grant any wish when all seven of them are gathered. As Kazuma realises that the magical stones may have been owned by someone reincarnated, Chris comes by to ask about the stones, only to be interrupted by Aqua's racket when the goddess demands Luna to open up that dungeon.
Luna then explains that the dungeon only appeared out of the blue last month, but the high-level adventurers who investigated it all came out panicky while muttering about high-level monsters and other incoherent narratives, so the Guild decided to lock it down for safety. The spooked Kazuma tries to chicken out of it, but at the goading of his companions, he ends up having to accept the quest of exploring the tower-shaped dungeon that Luna temporarily lifts the lockdown on.
Approaching the creepy tower, Kazuma comments on the charging horde of undead being attracted by Aqua, then kicks her out to run around as bait. Leading the others to race inside before Aqua who runs back to them drags the undead with her, Kazuma is surprised to find roaming its corridors are Axis followers trying to make them sign conversion forms. Walking away from those lunatics who Megumin thinks are scarier than monsters, the party makes their way up the tower, which has a different gimmick on each level, all the while having Wiz present no matter the member configuration.
- Enemies
Having to circle between the first and second floors thanks to some locked doors blocking the way, the party stumbles their way through the third floor that is shrouded in darkness as they try not to get turned about. They proceed past the various directional moving tiles on the fourth floor while potentially obtaining the Barracks Key from an Expedition Goblin.
Just as the party reaches the halfway point, Darkness glimpses someone looking like Beldia, then as everybody discusses how they are running into things they had fought before, a Vanir Doll grabs onto Aqua before exploding and attracting Wild Zombies. Subsequently fighting their way up through a disorganised menagerie of monsters to the fifth floor where they have to overcome a Giant Toad Ghost to reach the sixth floor that prohibits usage of any skills, the party may choose to defeat Turbo Minotaurs in order to get keys for shortcuts on the first two floors.
Finally reaching the top floor, the party barely has time to catch their breath before the vengeful Beldia and Hans materialise. As the others recoil in shock, Kazuma identifies the pair as illusions the magical power of the tower created out of their memories, just like how it spawned all the other monsters using the fearful recollections of those who enter. The fake Hans and Beldia attack anyways, and the party discovers that whomever they defeat will be immediately resurrected by the other one, so under Kazuma's direction he and Wiz freeze Hans while at the same time Aqua purifies Beldia.
As both illusions lie defeated and on the verge of disappearing, Hans as a last act of defiance launches concentrated corrosive slime at Aqua, though all it does is soil her impenetrable hagoromo. Moved by Hans after he disappeared, Beldia accordingly throws his head towards the back of the party so he can either look up the skirts of Wiz and possibly even Yunyun or Chris to his excitement, or in the case Ran deflects his head, up the skirts of Aqua as well as Megumin and Darkness to his disappointment, which results in him disappearing too when his head gets stomped through by an upset Wiz or gang stomped by Kazuma's infuriated party.
The party subsequently searches the floor for the magical stone, but after Kazuma picks up the stone discovered by Aqua that glows with the kanji for "seven", the connection the tower used to draw power from the stone for generating illusions gets cut off. As the tower which itself is an illusion begins fading from existence, Kazuma grabs and expands Aqua's hagoromo for everybody to use as a parachute, then as they float down Wiz Teleports them all to safety.

Back in town, Aqua expresses her puzzlement when the magic radar indicates the final magical stone moving about. Chris then approaches them to inform that the seven magical stones were said to have come from a land called Japan, just as Kazuma expected. When Kazuma fantasizes using the seven bonus items to give him the power for defeating the Demon King, Aqua shoots down his dream by reminding him that bonus items are specifically to be used by the reincarnated they are gifted to, before vowing to complain to Vanir about the magic radar later on.
Shangri-La[]
The following day in the mansion, Kazuma hears from Megumin that the tower had reappeared overnight, possibly because its magic has recharged, though he rebuffs the Guild's quests for investigating it again. He then heads to the Guild where he finds Aqua arguing with Vanir over the magic radar, and after elucidating the problem in her place, Vanir reasons that the final magic stone is situated in a moving dungeon.
Kazuma and his party are still in shock when they notice Sena and some knights arriving, before Luna broadcasts an emergency assembly call. They next explain that a moving dungeon looking like a town had appeared in the western wastelands of the kingdom, but the knights who were sent to investigate all returned with the mentality of naughty children, so the Royal Capital is now recruiting adventurers to explore it. At first all adventurers including Kazuma wanted to pass because of the danger despite the millions of eris in rewards, but upon hearing Vanir offering a much higher price if they manage to retrieve the final magical stone in that moving dungeon, Kazuma and his party accept Sena's request.
After a long trip by carriage, the party arrives at the entrance to what Kazuma describes as a Shangri-La inhabited by celestians. Making their way into the dungeon imbued with magic, the party gets separated when Megumin runs towards what looks like a celestian to inquire about powerful magic, Aqua goes to join somebody fishing by the lake, and Darkness heads for a spot to relieve herself. Wondering about the peaceful dungeon while possibly chatting with any additional members to pass the time, Kazuma patiently waits for the girls to return, though he feels something off about them when they do.
- Enemies
Making their way through the long halls filled with warp portals while fighting monsters and potentially getting surprised by Gold Cabbages because too many Metal Cabbages were taken out, as well as possibly finding the King's Chamber Key by defeating an Expedition Goblin, the party reaches the innermost chamber, which may be accessable quicker if the key for opening the shortcut warp portal is found.
At this moment Kazuma, convinced that something is really wrong with the three girls who had been silent and acting like serious adventurers since returning to him, Steals their panties to test their reactions. Upon seeing their emotionless responses to what usually invites a hysterical commotion, Kazuma unmasks them as imposters, at which a fake Kazuma appears. The four imposters then throw off their disguises to reveal their true forms as doll copies of Kazuma's party, before battling Kazuma and any additional members.
As Kazuma gets frustrated at being outnumbered and longs for his troublesome companions, Aqua shows up to report that the terrain, objects and people in the dungeon are artificial. Darkness and Megumin subsequently catch up, and all members unite to defeat the dolls, which except for the Kazuma Doll actually fight competently. The Doll Master that had been manipulating the dolls then shows itself, and when Megumin detects the presence of the magical stone inside it, the Doll Master introduces itself as the combination of regret felt by the objects that humans toss out.
It goes on to recount how it was originally gifted to a little girl who stuffed it into the back of her drawer after seeing how disgusting it is, and had it burned with all the old furniture when she moved. Although it later created a town for only objects, humans uncaring towards them kept intruding, so it turned those intruders' mentality back to children who would play with dolls.
The Doll Master then promises to let Kazuma and his party leave safely if he convinces other humans to stay out of the dungeon, yet Aqua who wants to get the magical stone instead insults it for looking disgusting. Enraged, the Doll Master leads the doll copies of Kazuma's party into waging war, though Kazuma and his party manage to win through. Aqua then proceeds to purify the Doll Master's hatred so that it reverts to a common doll, from which she pulls out the magical stone that is numbered with the kanji for "four".

The four of them later celebrate at the Guild, where Chris comes to tell them she had found out that in order for the seven magical stones to grant people any wish, they need to be brought to an altar on the Island in the Sky. Curious, the party decides to go there for a look.
Island in the Sky[]
Musing in the mansion the next day to the concern of his companions, Kazuma expresses how he was finally able to perform proper adventures lately at fantasy-like places like a floating island. As he and Megumin get excited over it, Darkness reminds them that they have no way of reaching there, so Kazuma takes them to Wiz's Shop to ask for clues, while forcing Aqua to come with them using the magical shard. After Kazuma explains their need for a flying magic item to reach the island, Vanir suggests renting out his "Magical Giant Vanir Mask" at a discount fee if he and Wiz can tag along.
The party later heads for the fields outside town, where they find Vanir preparing the giant mask shaped flying disc. Once everybody straps in, Vanir ignites vials upon vials of explosive potion to rocket them all into the sky. After they relatively safely land onto the Island in the Sky, the party staggers out as Wiz logs the landing spot as a Teleport point.
- Enemies
Trudging through the extensive network of corridors with nests of Explosion Stones situated at the entrances, and potentially finding a way downstairs to fight the Expedition Goblin holding the Depths Key, they take a break when Aqua starts hollering, during which Darkness and Kazuma go look at the breathtaking view beneath them. Soon the party continues on their way upstairs, when Aqua notices her shard glowing with increased magical power, a sign that Vanir explains means the altar is close by. After ascending to a loftier and windier level where Aqua tries to use Kazuma and then Darkness as windshield, they climb even higher to reach the centre of the island, from which overwhelming amounts of magic flow out to keep the island afloat.
While Aqua gets a bad feeling about something like dragons emerging, Vanir points out an altar saturated with magic, on which he tells Aqua to place the seven magical stones. As Kazuma discusses with other party members about getting any wish granted, Aqua places all the magical stones onto the altar and fits the shard into the one with the depression. A flood of light and magic subsequently gush out, and when Kazuma drags Aqua back from the altar, a hysterically laughing Vanir suddenly declares that the magical stones are not items for granting wishes, but containers for sealing a monster.
He proceeds to explain that despite knowing the records in the Royal Capital about the Devil-Sealing Magical Stone able to grant wishes are nothing but tall tales, when he inspected the shard Aqua brought him and read from it the snippets of the stone's memories, he finally realised the true purpose of the magical stones, which was to seal the failed result their Japanese creator produced when trying to create a monster that can grant wishes. Yet in order to taste the best despair Kazuma and his companions will emit when they find out the truth, he instead offered to buy the magical stones at high prices so the party will run around gathering them, all the while letting them believe the rumour about the stones being able to grant wishes, so that they will bring the stones to the altar where the monster will be unleashed to their utmost frustration.
In a final burst of light, the monster that appears to be a dragon manifests, though after getting over the initial shock, Kazuma and his companions notice that this "dragon" looks like a two-headed mish-mash of many animals. Vanir proceeds to read the memories of all the magical stones, then recounts how their creator who apparently was the NEET scientist from Japan wanted to create a dragon that can grant wishes, but instead created a mish-mash of a failure that can neither grant wishes nor defeat the Demon King but only go on rampages, and after sealing it in the magical stones, he had while drunk fabricated a fiction about how they can grant any wish when gathered, so when the high-ups came demanding the magical stones, he hid them in various places as he fled the kingdom.
Vanir subsequently gets flattened by the Imitation Dragon he only planned to release but cannot control, and after regenerating a new body he goes into an insulting contest with Aqua. At this point Megumin and Darkness notice the Imitation Dragon setting its sights on Aqua, whose power attracted it like how it activated the magical stones, before everyone is forced to do battle. With the party barely able to survive its onslaught, Wiz manages to freeze the Imitation Dragon in place, and they all flee the building despite Aqua hollering about her magical stones.

- Returning to where they started off as they fight the endless tide of enemies, Kazuma realises the way to end the tribulation is to smash the slab, and once he does so, his party as well as other companions who tailed them without joining him get released from the neverending battles. The whole group continues to the innermost sanctum, where they are overjoyed to find a fortune in coins, before Vanir points out that those are outdated currency now worthless, which a few days later he purchases as scrap metal.
Teleporting back to the fields outside Axel, they discuss about the frightening Imitation Dragon, though Vanir says it is bound to the magical stones and thus cannot leave the Island in the Sky. At this moment, Kazuma and Megumin notice Aqua acting like she is hiding something, which turns out to be the shard of magical stone she had gouged out when the stones started glowing. As the light and magic emitting from the shard increases in magnitude, the worst possibility occurs when the Imitation Dragon follows them to the ground.
Goblin Cave[]
The party enters the hole from the Neighbourhood Ruins dug by the Goblins, using the key to the Goblin Cave that they picked up from the Goblins outside who fought using surprisingly good quality equipment, and soon reaches the entrance hall of a dungeon much better constructed than expected.
- Enemies
As they explore around, the party runs into a Goblin Soldier guarding a Beginner's Bane instead of the other way round, and upon defeating them picks up a wooden plate with the kanji for "east". While fighting in the caves, the party may also potentially start a cave-in through the use of Explosion, only to be surprised to find the caves regenerating because like Khiel's Dungeon they are somehow saturated with magic.
At the end of the hall, the party finds the warp portals leading to five different areas, each barred by a locked door that, according to the dungeon investigation notes they possibly pick up, can only be opened if they obtained the keys found on the Expedition Goblins seeking new dens in the other dungeons.
Residential Area 1[]
As soon as the door guarding the warp portal is opened, the party gets attacked by an Assault Ant following the directions of a Goblin Fighter, making them realise how the two races are cooperating.
- Enemies
Advancing into the Residential Area 1, the party is met by a Goblin Fighter alongside a Wizard Predator Y. After defeating them and other bands of Goblin Fighters, the party pulls a lever to unlock the door to the inner unit, where they find and take out a Goblin Warrior and a Goblin Soldier. Picking up a wooden plate with the kanji for "west", they head out to other areas.
Residential Area 2[]
- Enemies
Advancing into the Residential Area 2, the party defeats bands of Middle Goblins as they advance downstairs, where in a large hall they have to fight a Goblin Archer, a Crescent Mid-Class Bane and a Soldier Assault Ant. Picking up a wooden plate with the kanji for "south", they head out to other areas.
Treasury Area[]
Advancing into the Treasury Area where mean-looking Goblins are guarding treasure, the party defeats bands of Goblin Mages as they advance downstairs, where in the treasure chamber they have to fight a Goblin General and as many Goblin Mages as he can call. Picking up a wooden plate with the kanji for "north", they head out to other areas.
Barracks[]
- Enemies
Advancing into the Barracks where an army of Goblins is patrolling, the party goes up and down the floors defeating bands of Heavy Goblins while possibly having Chris find a secret passageway as they look for the lever to unlock the door to the command room, where they find and take out a Goblin Hero and a 2 Wizard Predator Bs.
King and Queen's Chamber[]
Wondering what the King and Queen looks like, the party opens the door guarding the warp portal through the use of its key as well as the wooden plates picked up from the other areas.
Advancing into the King and Queen's Chamber where dozens of rooms filled with ants lie between the entryway and the royal sanctum, the party will fight bands of Samurai Assault Ants in every single room unless they manage to find a note telling of the directions to take in order to walk the path towards the King's throne without meeting sentries, which along the way also lets them pass by the lever unlocking the throne room door.
On seeing the Goblin King, the party is surprised that he can speak despite doing so in a disembodied tone, though they still manage to best him and the power he received from somebody. As the others bask in victory, Kazuma may wonder about the Queen who is nowhere to be seen.
The party can end up going around killing all the Samurai Assault Ants, which will enrage the Queen Assault Ant so much she opens the door to her chamber in order to take vengeance, though all it does is allow the party to come kill her.
When Kazuma leads his party past the King's throne, they find a door openable by the Depths Key that guards a warp portal down to the Depths, where he expects to find more treasure as well as the mastermind behind the Goblins.
Depths[]
Pushing into the Depths, the party is greeted by the Lich who nurtured the Goblins, and gets told as he floats off that the next stage of his experiments is being prepared.
As the party gives chase through the network of warp portals, the Lich sends clones of himself wielding the power of each of the elements against them, for the purposes of wearing them down and gathering battle data for developing monsters. Upon the party running into the clones, the Lich goes on to explain how he had created the Assault Ants to be his as servants, educated the Goblins so they will build a kingdom that protects this research hideout, and sent them expeditioning to various dungeons to look for the magical stones he wants to study.
Managing the defeat the Fire Lich, Wind Lich, Water Lich, and Earth Lich, the party goes through the doors now all unlocked to the throne room where the Lich's main body is. Following a fierce battle, the Lich is at last destroyed, and the party joyfully unearths his fortune of gold coins.
Gathering of Adventurers[]
Panicking before the Imitation Dragon, Kazuma, Megumin, Darkness, and Aqua all wish for others who can help, and get what they hoped for when the rest of their companions arrive, so Kazuma grudgingly leads the gathering of adventurers into battle.
Through hard fighting, they manage to wear the Imitation Dragon down, only to see it recovering after drawing power from the magical shard. After persuasion by Megumin and Darkness, a heartbroken Aqua at last lets Kazuma smash the shard, stopping the Imitation Dragon from drawing more power and leaving it weakened, thus allowing the adventurers to continue pummeling the Imitation Dragon until their strength is nearly spent.
Kazuma accordingly directs Ran, Yunyun, Vanir to hit its feet with Snipe, Light of Saber, Vanir Dolls while Darkness covers them, then instructs Chris and Aqua to hold it in place by Bind and Sacred Create Water while he Snipes one face, followed by Mitsurugi hacking at its other neck with Rune of Saber, and finally letting Wiz and Megumin end it using Cursed Crystal Prison and Explosion.
When the smoke clears, all that remains is a smoking crater and no sign of the Imitation Dragon, prompting the adventurers to congratulate each other over the victory. Vanir however is unapologetic over starting the whole ordeal, so Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin go on to teach him a lesson while the exhausted Kazuma trudges back into the city.
Epilogue[]
Afterwards, Sena declares that the party's deed of defeating the Imitation Dragon will cancel out their responsibility for damages it inflicted on the city all because it followed the shard Aqua took to earth, which coupled with the magical stones being left on the Island in the Sky, mean that Kazuma and his companions spent all the effort for no gain. Chris and Luna proceed to cheer them up, after which Kazuma's party and everybody in town who heard about their exploits gather at the Guild for a drink to celebrate as things return to normal.
