Summary[]

Despite Kazuma having stopped the Destroyer's rampage, the government prosecutor Sena arrives at the Guild with a band of knights to accuse him for sedition. Subsequent to Aqua panicking before Megumin and Darkness try speaking up for him even though in the process they reveal how he sexually harassed them, Sena explains that because the Coronatite ordered to be Teleported by Kazuma had blown up the local lord's manor, despite no casualties caused, he is now suspected of being a terrorist or agent of the Demon King. Megumin and other adventurers then begin speaking in Kazuma's defence, only for everybody to keep their distance once Sena proclaims that they may also be seen as accomplices of sedition, following which Kazuma is arrested by knights and thrown into prison.

As Kazuma sulks over the situation, Dust who got himself arrested once again so he can get free meals and residence without debt collectors after him is locked into the same cell, where he laughs after hearing of Kazuma's exploit against the lord. That night, Kazuma is wakened by the Explosion Megumin and Darkness used outside the town as a distraction, following which Aqua tells him through the cell window how she is going to help him break out before the grudgeful lord sentences him to death, but Kazuma instead goes to sleep because the lock picker she gives him cannot open the combination lock on his cell.

The next day, Kazuma is interrogated by Sena who displays a magic bell that rings whenever it detects lies, and is forced to admit many of his embarrassing secrets as she inquires about his origins, before he states that he only wanted to save the town. Realising that Kazuma is speaking the truth, Sena bashfully apologises for accusing him based on his bad rumours, at which Kazuma makes many smug comments until he hits Sena's sore spot of having no boyfriend. Sena then asks if Kazuma had any dealings with the Demon King's Generals which he denies, only for the magic bell to ring because Wiz is one of the generals.

That night after Kazuma laments in his cell over the upcoming trial before another Explosion occurs, Aqua gives him a hacksaw for cutting the window bars, yet the bars are too high for him to reach. Following Aqua's failure to deliver him a stepladder, Kazuma goes to sleep hoping for the best.
