Summary[]

Kazuma is put on trial with his companions being his defence team, although he has misgivings about the competency of Aqua, who tells Megumin how Alderp on the plaintiff seat is lewdly looking at them until he notices Darkness. After Sena announces the charges of sedition against Kazuma, Aqua makes an Objection just for the heck of it, to the defendant's dismay.

Following Kazuma's defending himself with accounts of how he took out Beldia and the Destroyer, Sena summons Chris as well as Mitsurugi and his party to take the witness stand, where they testify about Kazuma's crimes of sexual harassment and theft. Following Dust's testimony which cannot effectively prove Sena's case against Kazuma, Megumin and Aqua attempt to object the accusations on his behalf, only to have their own past actions used against them. However, following another blunder by Aqua that sees her evicted from court, Kazuma is able to take advantage of one of Alderp's comments to make a declaration that he is neither a terrorist nor working for the Demon King, one which the magic bell proves is true.

The judge proceeds to announce Kazuma not guilty due to lack of evidence, but oddly changes his mind along with Sena into sentencing Kazuma to death when Alderp insists that Kazuma is guilty. Yet after an irate Megumin is also evicted, Darkness displays her family crest, and on the condition of agreeing to Alderp's request, asks for the sentencing to be postponed so she can prove Kazuma's innocence.

Back at the party's mansion the following day, Kazuma discusses with Aqua and Megumin his concerns over Darkness, since she went to deal with Alderp who had been obsessed with her for years. While he wonders about Darkness' real identity as well as how to prove his innocence and pay the debt from damages to Alderp's mansion, Sena bursts in saying that hibernating Giant Toads have been surfacing in fear of something, which she thinks is a result of Explosions before the trial waking them from slumber.

With the party handed the task of subjugating the Giant Toads around the town, Kazuma and Sena watch Aqua being chased by one of them while the spent Megumin try to keep herself from being swallowed inside the warm mouth of another one. Three more Giant Toads subsequently surface around them both as Aqua leads the one chasing her over and Megumin is slowly swallowed, putting them in a desperate situation. Yet at this moment, a girl slices a Giant Toad open with Light of Saber before burning the rest with Energy Ignition.
