Yunyun launched a series of complaints at Arue over her letter soon after parting with Kazuma's party on the day of returning to the village.
Summary[]
As the villagers cheer Yunyun making her Crimson Magic Clan style introduction while Kazuma fears for her feelings afterwards, Sylvia attacks the chief's daughter who draws her away until cornered. Bukkororii and Soketto though throw off their Light of Reflection upon sneaking up to Yunyun's side before Teleporting her away together, making Sylvia thunder in rage.
Taking advantage of Sylvia's distraction, Kazuma sets his sights on the Growth Chimera, yet discovers that even with Aqua's magical power infused into it, the Railgun just won't operate. He and his companions are subsequently discovered by Sylvia, forcing them to flee while lugging the heavy rifle along. Sylvia proceeds to declare how she will hunt down every one of the Crimson Magic Clan cowards, at which Komekko stops to rebuke her by citing how powerful Megumin is.
Megumin accordingly steps up to introduce herself humbly, then against the protests of Kazuma whom she figured out had unlocked the storage door, casts Explosion at Sylvia, though the power is instead absorbed by the Railgun till it is filled to capacity and becomes operational. Kazuma immediately aims the weapon that can withstand one single shot at Sylvia, only for its trigger to be pulled by Komekko.

Differences to other versions[]
- Instead of recklessly trying to make a last stand, Yunyun in the light novel actually notices that Bukkororii and Soketto are nearby to evacuate her.
- The manga elaborates on Komekko's defence of Megumin's honour.
