Cover[]
The party returns to their mansion following the trip to the Crimson Magic Village.
Summary[]
After the party returns to their mansion, Kazuma goes back to lazing on the couch, though this time Megumin expresses approval of his efforts in defeating Sylvia, making Darkness and Aqua wonder if the two of them had finally did it when sleeping together, a claim that Kazuma vehemently denies despite Megumin ignoring it.
The mansion is then visited by Hagen, who Kazuma tries to chase off in fear of more trouble, though Darkness eventually lets her family's servant in. Upon hearing Hagen panic about Darkness losing her only asset, Kazuma and Megumin start speculating if it means her outrageous body while Aqua points out her gullibility, only to have Hagen clarify that he is referring to Darkness' noble status possibly getting stripped. He then shows them a letter from the royal family, which Darkness after reading wants to hide from Kazuma, though Kazuma manages to snatch it and find out that Iris the princess is requesting a meeting with him for discussing his triumphs against the Demon King's Generals. Darkness then tries to talk him out of it, yet Kazuma instead thinks that his moment has finally come.
Afterwards at the Dustiness residence where the princess is staying, Darkness anxiously reminds the party, all dressed up formally, how imperative it is to act properly. Subsequent to her telling off Aqua and Megumin for their inappropriate plans to entertain the princess, Kazuma shows off finished products of his design on sale at Wiz's Shop, such as lighters and masks looking like Vanir's which he intends to present. Later following an uneasy Darkness alongside the others to the meeting, Kazuma merrily wonders if the princess is a cute and gentle girl who will call him a "big brother".
In the dining hall, the party sees Iris who looks just like Kazuma expected, though subsequent to Darkness stopping Aqua and Megumin from doing something unwarranted, a woman in white suit who appears to speak on the princess' behalf arrogantly tells him off for disrespect in front of the royalty, making Kazuma talk of trading out the princess, to Darkness' horror. The woman in white then orders Kazuma, who had garnered the attention of Mitsurugi, to start telling his adventure stories. Later finishing his glorified account of how he defeated Sylvia, Kazuma goes on to spin his former life in Japan as a NEET into deceptive depictions of glorious triumphs, which impresses the princess.
The woman in white though asks to see Kazuma's Adventurer Card, on which are Skills that he cannot let outsiders discover, but Darkness thankfully covers for him. Yet when Kazuma gets piqued at the woman in white going on and on about Mitsurugi, she in turn gets angered by his disrespect, following which she orders on behalf of the princess for the lying Adventurer's party to leave.
Darkness however is angered by Kazuma being called a liar and requests the statement be withdrawn, making Iris personally tell Kazuma off, only to be slapped by Darkness. As the others look on shocked, the woman in white stabs out at Darkness with her rapier.
