To Be a True Big Brother (2) (本当の兄になるために②, Hontō no Ani ni Naru Tame ni 2) is the sixty-fifth chapter of the KonoSuba manga series, and covers the Interlude and Epilogue 2 in Volume 6 of the light novels.

Summary[]
Descending alone into the dark basement of his mansion, Alderp kicks Max awake before ordering the devil to retrieve and unseal the Divine Item that got stolen by thieves as well as sealed. Max however cites his inability to find the Divine Item and unseal it, earning him another round of stomping from Alderp, who is irritated at Max always forgetting what he was ordered to do.
Next ordering Max to bring Lalatina to him, Alderp contemplates on his original plot, which consisted of taking Jatice's body using the Divine Item after letting the prince be engaged to Lalatina, gone astray thanks to some thief. Further regretting not switching bodies beforehand with Balter, who was adopted for this purpose only to fail on securing an engagement with Lalatina through the marriage interview, Alderp takes out his frustration upon Max.
As he proceeds to bawl his obsession with Lalatina, Max voices his admiration of Alderp's lust and cruelty, though while the literally brainless devil hopes to fulfill the nobleman's wish in exchange for reward, Alderp secretly seethes over him forgetting that he had already granted a lot of wishes previously. Glancing at the stone he had used for summoning Max, which he would have used again to summon some other monster were it not so easy to bilk the broken devil out of his reward, Alderp once more orders to have Lalatina brought to him.
Back at the party's mansion, Kazuma hollers over Iris not wishing for him to stay with her because Darkness cut him off with all that stuff about the Demon King, so Darkness in response says he'll only be a jester at the castle. When Megumin complains about their racket, Kazuma grumbles about her difference with Iris, following which Megumin throws a pillow at him for calling her a loli character instead of a sister one. She then goes back to writing a fan letter for the masked thief in case they meet again, something Darkness tries to dissuade her from, though Megumin's admiration for the cool thief isn't swayed, and makes it harder for Kazuma to reveal his identity.
Upon seeing Aqua enjoying another bottle of wine, Kazuma asks for some only to be refused unless he begs, so he proceeds to snatch it by force while Darkness hopes to have it done on her. Next trying to talk Aqua into sharing the bubbly for celebration but at the same time keeping Megumin from it, Kazuma reminds Darkness of them having prevented somebody's conspiracy, so the party agrees to a feast.
Lying on the couch since he isn't tasked to do something, Kazuma reflects on him returning to his normal life after living with a princess and having her call him "big brother". But as he pulls out Iris' ring to stare at, Aqua tries to take it for showing off a trick, so remembering how she had made Mitsurugi's ring disappear for good, Kazuma vehemently opposes her.

Differences to other versions[]
- The manga skips the parts about Aqua preferring the wine sold by Michael, but adds the part where a pillow is thrown at Kazuma.
