Synopsis[]
Kazuma runs into some adventurers he knows while out for a walk and decides to go with them to a shop run by succubi said to show its customers enticing dreams.
Plot[]
As Megumin and Darkness play a boardgame looking like chess in the living room, Aqua pesters Kazuma into giving her the sofa seat before the fireplace, a request he complies with out of pity upon realising that her intelligence will never improve.
The next day while hanging around downtown, Kazuma notices Dust and Keith loitering around an alleyway. They tell him they are working up the courage to enter a cafe run by Succubi, which is known only to male adventurers. Kazuma next enters the cafe with them where he is led to a seat next to the Ruffian, and the Receptionist Succubus explains how the cafe sends Succubi granting men realistic dreams of any erotic experience they want in exchange for a little of their vitality. After confirming with the succubus that his sexual partner can be a girl he knows, Kazuma excitedly fills in his request form, but rather than identify a specific desired partner, he requests a beautiful, sexually inexperienced older woman.
Returning to the mansion, Kazuma finds his companions cooking crabs sent by Darkness's family for dinner, which they all eagerly dig into. But when Aqua suggests they drink hot bubbly from the crab shell, Kazuma declines because he won't be able to dream if he gets too drunk. Going to bed early while Aqua mimics the Destroyer, Kazuma finds himself too nervous to sleep, thus he decides to take a bath, and dozes off in the bathtub.
Kazuma is awakened by a naked Darkness walking in to take a bath. Thinking his dream has begun, he orders Darkness to wash his back. Though Darkness is unnerved at having her submission sexual fantasies so abruptly manifested and worried about the likelihood of Aqua or Megumin catching them in the act, she cannot resist yielding to his increasingly curt demands. Yet as Darkness moves on to drying, Aqua shouts an alarm about an intruder. Rushing out to the corridors, Kazuma discovers the Newbie Succubus sent to make him dream caught in the magic barrier raised around the mansion by Aqua. Realising that he is not dreaming, Kazuma covers for the Succubus' escape as Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness, who think he has been Charmed, beat him up.
The next day, Kazuma at first pretends he was under the Succubus's control as he makes up with Darkness, but abruptly changes his tune, blaming Darkness for their sexual encounter. Luna makes an emergency broadcast about the Mobile Fortress Destroyer approaching Axel.

Differences to other versions[]
- Chomusuke, Megumin's cute cat familiar, is adapted out, and instead appears in the second episode of season 2.
- Dust, Keith, Taylor, and Rin were introduced earlier in Volume 2 of the light novels or Chapter 13 of the manga, when Dust and Kazuma swapped their parties for a day. Only Dust and Keith showed up in this episode, and their backstory was skipped.
- The "Ruffian" is an anime-only character. He made a brief appearance as one of the Succubus Cafe's customers.
Trivia[]
A succubus tells Kazuma that if an adventurer rapes one of his party members, his victim might cut off his penis with a knife, and Kazuma wonders if she is talking about something that actually happened. This is a reference to Lorena Bobbitt, who famously cut off her husband's penis while he slept because he allegedly had been raping her for years.
