Draw!? Explosion! (描く⁉爆裂魔法！, Egaku!? Bakuretsu Mahō!) is the twenty-third chapter of the Megumin Anthology manga series, and was illustrated by Satou Yuuko.
Summary[]
Megumin limply lies in bed as she recalls how her Explosions were not doing so well lately, despite nothing restricting her magic. She then realises in horror that without Explosions, her party members will ditch her.
Hurrying to get up while declaring herself as essential to Kazuma, Megumin knocks over a book he had earlier purchased at Wiz's Shop, which she remembers is called a "manga". Next recalling Wiz to have summarised it as the work of a local artist that stars a cute girl belonging to the Crimson Magic Clan, she finds within the book frames depicting illustrations of Explosions. Without any other ideas, Megumin who hopes for it to help bring her out of the present slump goes looking in Kazuma's room for the next part of the story.
Early one morning several days later, Megumin brings her sleepy party members outside for showing them the fruits of her special training. She proceeds to chant an incantation that describes how Explosion is drawn in a manga, before casting her best-drawn Explosion yet. After collapsing, Megumin explains to her party members how during the past few days, she had been visiting the artist who drew the manga Kazuma had bought, and succeeded in overcoming her slump through learning how to draw Explosions. Darkness and Aqua accordingly express their fascination at the idea, but Kazuma finds himself not fancying the notion of drawing or being hit by Explosions.
