A Part-time Job in this Everyday Life! (この日常にバイトを！, Kono Nichijō ni Baito wo!) is the second chapter of the Konosuba Nichijou manga series.
Summary[]
The party lounges at their mansion due to no recent work, and as Kazuma yells at Aqua with who he shares the couch for planting her foot on his face, upon Megumin asking about their time before she joined, he recalls how they had spent the days doing construction jobs before eating at the Guild and sleeping in the stables. While Kazuma wonders if they will need to go back to part-time construction again, Aqua eagerly looks forward to doing mortaring work. Megumin and Darkness also express their agreement despite hearing that Explosion is prohibited and no whipping from the foreman will occur, so Kazuma goes to talk about it with the foreman he had befriended.
At the construction site where the foreman greets Kazuma in a manner Darkness and Megumin find are way too close, the Arch Wizard soon finds herself exhausted in contrast to the energetic Crusader, and the merry Aqua expertly swipes mortar in a fashion that makes the pickaxing Kazuma think how she should rather be a mortarer instead of an Arch Priest. The foreman then slaps Kazuma's body as he instructs him how to dig, making Megumin and Darkness again shiver at their closeness.
With Aqua unable to give a clear answer on the men's relationship to each other, during break time they directly ask Kazuma about it. Upon realising what they are inquiring about, Kazuma vehemently denies having that sort of preference, but the girls still imagine him as the one being on the "receiving end" much to his revulsion, and an untimely approach by another construction worker asking him to return money using suggestive vocabulary makes the misunderstanding worse.
