A Breather in this Everyday Life! (この日常に息抜きを！, Kono Nichijō ni Ikinuki wo!) is the thirtieth chapter of the KonoSuba Nichijou manga series.
Summary[]
While Kazuma's party members were waiting for him to return, Kazuma decided to stay at the Royal Castle as Iris' playmate due to her calling him "big brother". However, one day Kazuma comes looking for Iris, only to hear that she has to take history lessons from Rain until dusk, so he goes outside to kill time. As Iris disappointedly continues listening to Rain's lecture, she is captivated by the bamboo dragonfly Kazuma flies outside the window, prompting Rain to yell at Kazuma for distracting the princess.
Telling Iris to concentrate on her studies, Lain continues the lesson, when the bubbles Kazuma is blowing floats in through the window for Iris to poke at, before he responds to Rain's chiding with a snide excuse. Iris who surprises Rain by referring to Kazuma as "big brother", however, sees it as him testing her endurance against temptations, so Rain indulges Iris' train of thought by telling her to pass the test through concentrating on her studies.
As soon as Rain declares the day's studies over, she gets surprised by the speed Iris gets out of the room and her sight. Unable to find her, Rain who suspects the princess off with Kazuma again spots them in the garden, where Iris wearing a previously unseen smile merrily clutches the bamboo dragonfly Kazuma had just gifted her, which she innocently believes to be a magic item until Rain corrects her misconception.
