A Diet in this Everyday Life! (この日常にダイエットを！, Kono Nichijō ni Daietto wo!) is the ninth chapter of the KonoSuba Nichijou manga series.
Summary[]
Kazuma tells an obese Aqua munching on snacks while lazing around on the mansion's couch to slim up, and recounts how ever since she practically ate up the snacks from Yunyun all by herself, she had been gradually putting on weight.
Ordering Aqua to go on a diet, which starts off by her cutting on eating, Kazuma explains that now she who was already useless enough will not be able to keep up with the others if they have to flee from monsters in addition to running out of breath quickly. Aqua though says a healer like her doesn't need a fit body since she can just sit around and recharge his HP, to which Kazuma refutes by reminding her that performing her originally gorgeous party tricks while obese will instead make her believers turn away in disgust. Motivated by Kazuma's reasoning, Aqua accordingly becomes determined to slim up.
Per Kazuma's instructions to start off by reinforcing her will to slim up, Aqua makes a wish about her wanting to slim up. At that moment, Megumin slaps onto her neck the choker Kazuma had once put on that cannot be removed unless her wish is fulfilled. As Aqua yells at the outrage of an Undead's wares on her, Kazuma applauds Megumin's handiwork before the two of them pressure Aqua into slimming up, only to have Aqua pull the choker off by herself through her powers.
Kazuma next calls on Darkness to go exercising with Aqua who reluctantly agrees, though following Darkness completing 50 laps around the mansion, Aqua lays down all spent from having done only 10 laps. She proceeds to ask Megumin about Yunyun's next visit in anticipation for more snacks, much to Kazuma's chagrin. But after he gives up on her and walks off declaring that she won't be getting a share of rewards from now on, the horrified Aqua at Megumin and Darkness' encouragement makes up her mind to slim up.
Several days later, Kazuma to his delight is told of Aqua's diet showing results, yet when going to check her out, he instead sees her barely different than before. Upon hearing Aqua proudly declaring her achievement of reducing 2 centimetres from her waistline, Kazuma really gives up in exasperation.
