Ozuma Zatou (ザトゥ・オズマ) is an adventurer in the Kingdom of Belzerg.[1]
Appearance[]
Ozuma Zatou is a veteran adventurer possessing a threatening aura who stands two heads taller than Kazuma, and is dressed in a plate of worn light black armour with a black cape over it (or a green vest with armoured pads in the anime).[2]
Personality[]
Due to the first impression of being rough and short-tempered, Ozuma can be intimidating, but deep down he is a respectful, appreciative and friendly person.
History[]
Leading a party that apart from him consisted of Acure, Megumi, and Rakless, Ozuma set out on adventuring journeys with the goal of avenging his friend who was killed by Hans. Yet at some point in time, people began mistaking them for a party of hoodlums lead by Kazuma Satou, who despite defeating Hans had also left behind such an awful reputation that Ozuma's party got repeatedly troubled because of their names' similarity.
Determined to give this Kazuma a piece of his mind in addition to thanking him for defeating the Devil King's General, Ozuma led his party to Axel, where he against his companions' advice went around asking for information about Kazuma. He managed to engage in a conversation with a young man named Tanaka who was eating skewers by the roadside, before taking the whole party to a restaurant, where Tanaka told them the tear-jerking story of how Kazuma worked diligently to drag himself out of debt and was now a rich developer of goods.
Although the party intended on returning to their hometown the next day, they accordingly discovered that this "Tanaka" was actually Kazuma himself, in addition to other facts of Kazuma's scumminess that got left out of his autobiography. Ozuma thus angrily led his party for a visit to Kazuma's mansion the following morning, though the retorts by Kazuma's party of "imposters" proved tougher to deal with than expected. After driving Darkness to tears over her plagiarising Rakless, Ozuma's party accepted Megumin's challenge of them making a name in Axel as adventurers.
For the following weeks, Ozuma led his party in diligently hunting powerful monsters around Axel, including a lot of One-Punch Bears while aiding many other adventurers, which earned them the gratitude of local farmers and many drinks at the Guild. When Kazuma's party finally showed up, he confidently proclaimed his victory over the "imposters", only to be cut short when an adventurer returned with a companion seriously injured by White Wolves, and was surprised by how Aqua easily healed what should have been a mortal wound.
Ozuma and his party later followed Kazuma's party to the Axel's outskirts, where Kazuma explained how their overhunting of One-Punch Bears, which had been competing with White Wolves, had disrupted the local ecology so much that White Wolves were now gathering close to the city. Discovering a pack larger than expected, Ozuma, like his party, was astounded when Darkness stepped up to shield everyone from Megumin's magic while Aqua claimed of being able to easily resurrect anybody who got killed. He became further impressed when Kazuma pinpointed the pack's alpha with Farsight and Sniped it with a silver arrow he had prepared beforehand for this occasion, in addition to turning astonished when the rest of the pack was attracted by Darkness so that Megumin could wipe them all out with an Explosion.
After his whole party apologised to Kazuma's party and revealed their other goal of thanking Kazuma for defeating Hans, Ozuma and his companions talked about their past as well as how they were now convinced that the bad rumours about Kazuma's party were all fictitious, only to have Kazuma and his companions apologise to them instead.

- Create Water: Shoots a jet of pure and clean water from atmospheric moisture.
Equipment[]
- Short Swords: A pair of well-used swords that Ozuma usually slings on both sides of his waist.
Trivia[]
- Ozuma's seiyū Tetsu Inada was cast while the general director Takaomi Kanasaki was having dinner and discussing the casting with Tetsu and Kazuma's seiyū Jun Fukushima.[3]
