Potemkin (ポチョムキン) was a legendary noble who overcame numerous problems in his day through punching people into submission.[1]
Appearance[]
Potemkin is depicted as an aged nobleman with combed hair and a moustache, who generally wears a top hat and nobleman attire, in addition to possessing a pair of large fists.
Personality[]
Potemkin at a glance is seen as a crazy guy who punched anybody in sight, yet there is a lot of debate among historians over his intentions, since many of his seemingly meaningless punchings actually ended up solving multiple big problems, though some still insist on him simply punching out of instinct. His motto is "meat is justice".
History[]
Generally known for how he overcame all sorts of problems troubling the kingdom, such as famine, civil war, financial difficulty, and political corruption, simply by punching people, many of Potemkin's exploits were adapted by later generations into sagas and shows like Punchin' Potemkin Brawls to Victory. A notable one involved him smashing an heirloom urn he was ordered to retrieve so that the brothers fighting over it will stop their quarrel, followed by him punching down the princess who was the mastermind behind it all. Another was Potemkin beating up and capturing the mighty Yamata no Unagi before using its meat to relieve a famine, in addition to resolving his province's financial difficulty with the reward money, making people mark that day down for commemoration.
