The Snowfield Forest (
Overview[]
It first appeared in the story when during the snowy winter, Kazuma led his party on a quest to capture the Snow Sprites that manifest there en masse, but ended up running into the Winter Shogun.[1] Returning there months later in their search for the magical stones, Kazuma and party found the forest still as snowy and freezing as before, despite winter having already passed for the rest of the kingdom.[2]
Situated in the forest's depths is a dungeon of snow and ice composed of surface and underground sections littered with pits, in which various dangerous monsters of winter prowl. As such, the Head Researcher chose it as one of the seven locations for hiding the magical stones.[2]
The reason the forest remained locked in winter, as Kazuma's party found out while heading back there to look for the cursed relic's replacement parts, was due to the huge numbers of Snow Sprites gathering at a mountain of ice in the area that has another snowy dungeon leading up to it.[3]
