Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Wiki

Thor's Hammer (トールハンマー) was an ancient weapon capable of summoning powerful lightning strikes.[1]

Overview[]

Despite being capable of changing the weather so that storm clouds will gather in the vicinity to allow powerful lightning strikes be unleashed by its wielder, Thor's Hammer possesses a serious flaw where a feedback of lightning electrocutes the wielder, and has to be used along with the Járngreipr in order for the wielder not to be harmed. Using Thor's Hammer without Járngreipr will result in the lightning feedback electrocuting the wielder to gather within the body, and for those wielders tough enough not to fall apart at this stage, the gathered electricity will instead grant a big boost of power in addition to making him capable of channelling the lightning, though the strain on the body will eventually kill the wielder.

Sealed along with its instruction manual within an altar situated on a mountaintop where Daniel's Castle was later built on, Thor's Hammer was prophesied to be unsealed if somebody dances on top of it like a goddess clad in blue. Hearing of this legend, Daniel over the span of a century abducted many dancer girls before making them dress in blue and dance upon the altar, though these attempts at unsealing all failed. But when Kazuma with his gang attacked the castle and made their way to the altar where they brought Daniel down to the brink of death, the blue-clad Aqua made a victory dance, and as a result released the seal on Thor's Hammer.

Although the hammer's initial usage got Daniel electrocuted, the problem was overcome once he got his hand in the Járngreipr, though the lightning from Thor's Hammer accidentally killing Lia caused the ancient weapon to be set aside during Daniel's period of sorrow. When Daniel learned of Lia still being alive, Thor's Hammer was used in an attack on the Royal Capital, though its lightning was found to be blockable by the magical barrier created by Lia's Magic Keyboard. The hammer was later used for destroying multiple towns and villages as part of the Daniel's attempt to advertise his power.

Following the battle at Axel where Daniel lost Járngreipr, the Troll Lord attempted to wield Thor's Hammer by absorbing its lightning power, something he succeeded at after merging with Charlie. It was wielded as one of the merged Daniel's weapons in his attack on the Royal Capital during the dance contest's final round, yet subsequent to Daniel being worn down by Kazuma and all his companions, the strengthened lightning was blocked by the magical barrier of Lia's Magic Keyboard reinforced with the Axel Hearts as well as their fans' singing. Thor's Hammer was consequently used for one last attack when Daniel lay dying, yet the lightning meant to kill Lia got blocked by her Magic Keyboard itself, before Thor's Hammer shattered from the strain in a pillar of lightning.
